The focal point here is a bouquet with snowdrops. The first flowers that spring out after long winters, perhaps poking effortfully through the snow, yet to melt. They were commonplace where I grew up, and whenever I think of them, it brings up the association of smell of vegetation waking up to life, when snow starts to recede. It is one of the childhood smells that I miss.
